Ninja Party #2

Will's Epic Ninja party!!
This post is about what happened at the epic party and what we did to pass the time. The last post I did on the party was about what was made and what food and decorations we had. (See Ninja Party #1). Read on to see what happened!

Here is what happened first when the first child arrived. Presents!! Some Super Star wars lego and a Star wars sticker book! Right up Will's alley.

Master Will and his super cool Star Wars sticker book! First thing he says; "It has 2000 stickers!!". He was very excited!

The very difficult climb to get to the bedrooms downstairs but so worth it to see the kids faces when they tried. Little Riley was particularly happy to prove himself worthy of the Shadow Ninja academy.

When the kids finally reached downstairs it was Lego building time! It took them all of 10 minutes to have the little ship and his driver ready to be played with.

That's when the second little ninja arrived and that calls for more presents. This time a set of two Nerf guns! All of the children were particularly thrilled with this present s it involved shooting the walls and one another when possible. ;)

The kids all watching little Will open his presents. Whats inside?!!

Next a martial session given by Will's Dad. The kids all participated thoroughly and enjoyed themselves though Logan said he had a bit of a sore tummy.

Kick kids kick!!

Learning to stand Kung fu Panda style! All of there kids enjoyed this thoroughly as they all eventually fell on top of each other.

Next was board breaking! Who can break the boards and prove themselves a ninja?
Logan first. Success!

Then Riley. Also Success!

Next Master Eli. Success again!

Finally Little Will with his broken arm. Success! All the kids loved this because they got to break something which they don't get to do often.

Finally the last game was keep the balloons in the air as long as possible. Such fun!

Then the balloons started to lose their faces as they were just stuck on with glue. That's when Riley came up with the idea that they could stick the faces on their faces an then try and keep the balloons up. This was hilarious because they all ended up on the ground laughing.

Then the Graduation ceremony! Riley loved this part especially and he kept going around saying "I gradudated, I gradudated!". So cute!

Then the best part Food! Ninja pizza for dinner which soon disappeared and some juice in the ninja cups which was gone soon afterwards.

Dinner was followed by the Super ninja cake which was a big hit! A little ninja training outside the dojo.

Finally before the kids went home they were all given a little stuffed ninja toy with a note in the belt saying 'Sleep tight little ninja'. The kids were ecstatic!

Well I hope you enjoyed my second and last post on the ninja Party. It was seriously fun and I am sure that all the kids left with some nice memories.

Ninja party #1

Will's epic ninja party!!!
Well we survived the party with smiles, fun and games. This post is about what was made and why Will had such a great time. I made a lot of the decorations etc. and had a lot of fun doing so. Read on to see what we did!

This was all the cutlery and cups set out, they ended up looking really good and I was pleased with the final result. Will insisted on everything being black and red and a little bit of white if you have to. So that is what we did. ;)

These are the ninja cups I made using a printable template for the labels and some black cups that Will said looked very ninja-ry. They turned out really well and I had some comments from the kids saying 'how did you do these?!'.

I found some gluten free dairy free Oreos and used them for a snack as they apparently looked ninja enough to go on the table. I agree they do actually look a bit like something a ninja would eat.

The table consisting of the stuffed ninja toys, the Oreos, the lollies and the crackers too. This was the food that helped the children pass the time until dinner and cake!

Lollies! Every party needs them and so every party has them. We found some gluten free ones so they found their way onto the table too.

These are the balloons that I made using some printable stickers from the internet. I know they are ninjago but they worked and ended up looking pretty good. All the eyes ended up coming off by the  end of the party but it was fun while it lasted.

The cake!! Doesn't it look awesome?!

This little ninja cake topper ended up on the cake as he is meant to be training in his dojo getting ready for a martial arts competition. I love the little path leading up to the door, it is made up of tiny edible beads and larger ones around the edge. The bushes are cake with green icing dribbled over the top of it to give it a bush effect.

Make a wish little Will! He was smiling throughout the whole party even with a broken arm. Check out his ninja outfit he looks like a true mini ninja!

I hope you like the party planner, it all turned out great and we all had lots of fun! Keep looking for the next post about what we did at the party and what happened. Thank you for reading and checking out my blog.

Hidden ~ Book review

Today I will be reviewing the book 'Hidden like Anne Frank' written by Marcel Prins and Peter Henk Steenhuis. This book includes fourteen true stories of survival about children in the 2nd World War. The youngest child in this novel is only three years old when the war starts and the oldest is thirteen, it is their life story of trying to survive the War. I recommend this book to people aged twelve to adult, I am twelve turning thirteen and I love it! Throughout this book it describes the Jewish children's lives in hiding and fighting for their lives. Some of the children go through the most extraordinary events including hiding under the floorboards and being rolled up in a rug for three hours! Below is a picture of the cover of the book.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys books about Wars or who likes a bit of intense mystery. I hope you enjoyed my first book review, look out for more soon.
